An area of disturbed earth is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the northern part of Holton Heath, Wareham St Martin (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive activities. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project.
