A group of interlinked linear ditches and associated banks are visible on aerial photographs of Gore Hill, Wareham St Martin (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of practice slit trenching associated with First World War military activities in this area. Similar features are also located 150m to the north (MDO30601). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
