Full Description
Two hollows surrounded by upcast banks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Great Oven Hill, Wareham St Martin (1), located at NGR SY 92759 90380 & SY 92648 90356. They are considered likely to be the remains of military foxholes associated with First or Second World War activity in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are still visible as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
