Full Description
Three post medieval extractive pits are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery of 2010 to the west of Pallington Coppice. The pits are located on Portsdown Chalk Formation and measure between 27 by 26 m and 53 m by 60 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
