Two medieval or post medieval extractive pits are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of 2004 to the south east of Woodsford Lower Dairy. The pits are located on an area of silty clay and measure between 20 by 16 m and 30 m by 30 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
