A post medieval flint pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Tolpuddle. The pit is also marked on the 1st edition OS map. The flint workings are visible as a curving scarp extending south west to north east for a distance of approximately 166 m. (1-2) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
