Full Description

An area of medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of the 1990s to the north east of Burleston. The ridges are oriented north-south and are visible over an area measuring approximately 260 m by 150 m. They may have been part of a cultivation system with another area of ridge and furrow (see MDO30643) and an area of strip lynchets (see MDO583), both located to the west. (1-2) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
