A possible medieval or post medieval extractive pit is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 2004 to the north east of Woodsford Lower Dairy. The pit is located on silty clay. It is sub-circular and measures 14 m in diameter. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
