An extensive prehistoric field system which has been reused in the medieval period is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north and east of West Hill Farm. The parallel ridging overlies the field system and is described in MDO30698.

Full Description

An extensive prehistoric field system which has been reused in the medieval period is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar to the north and east of West Hill Farm. The parallel ridging overlies the field system and is described in MDO30698. (1-3). The features are considered to be an extension of the field system and settlement described in MDO7450 and MDO7451. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
