An area of post medieval cultivation marks is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 to the north of Black Down, Godlingston Heath. The earthworks are visible over an area measuring approximately 50 m by 30 m, with ridges oriented north west-south east. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
