Full Description
An elongated mound is marked at this location on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. It is visible on aerial photographs and is of uncertain date and function. <1>
The site was visited by the OS field investigators in 1980 when it was described as a mound 41.0m. by 15.0m. at its widest (W) end, long axis west-east, maximum height of 2.8m. It contains many medium to large-sized stones and in appearance resembles a spoil heap but has obviously been very mutilated. <3>
