Full Description

Medieval or post medieval field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946, 1953, 1971 and 1982 to the north and east of Ulwell, Swanage. The boundaries are visible as linear banks. Two banks cross each other, oriented east-west and north-south, but it is unclear which boundary is earlier in date. A third boundary, oriented north west-south east, lies to the south of the two crossing boundaries. The boundaries are visible over an area measuring approximately 300 m by 185 m. (1-4) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
