Summary

A group of low mounds are visible as earthworks on lidar to the south of Encombe House. They are possibly the remains of plough-levelled field banks although they lie in the vicinity of a possible Roman settlement (MDO7591).

A group of low mounds are visible as earthworks on lidar to the south of Encombe House. They are possibly the remains of plough-levelled field banks although they lie in the vicinity of a possible Roman settlement (MDO7591). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
