A possible mine shaft which may be of post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on recent lidar imagery on Studland Heath, Studland. The shaft is sub-rectangular and measures approximately 16 m by 9 m. It is surrounded by a bank of spoil. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
