A post medieval extraction pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 on Godlingston Heath, Studland. The pit is situated on silty clay and measures approximately 33 m by 20 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
