Two small extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Stoborough Heath. They are marked on the OS 1st edition map and are likely to be post medieval gravel pits.(1). The site is now under scrub and therefore no longer visible on the most recent Googele Earth inagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
