A First and Second World War military camp associated with the Bovington Tank Training Site, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s, on Tonerspuddle Heath, Affpuddle. An area of earthworks, military buildings, depressions and platforms indicating the site of other possible buildings are visible over an area measuring approximately 695 m by 305 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
