31247A series of small hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on the ridge to the south of Lutton. An old quarry is marked in the vicinity on the OS 1st edition maps. The features are considered to be post medieval extraction pits (1-2). They are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
