Summary
A series of parallel lynchets are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Lutton, Steeple.  The features may be medieval strip lynchets although a geological origin cannot be ruled out.

Full Description
                A series of parallel lynchets are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Lutton, Steeple.  The features may be medieval strip lynchets although a geological origin cannot be ruled out(1-3).  They are still  visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on the latest Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
