A small round mound, 11m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Ridgeway Hill northwest of Whiteway Farm, Church Knowle (1). It is of uncertain date and function, possibly a prehistoric barrow or post medieval spoil heap. It lies on the boundary between Steeple and Church Knowle parishes and may therefore be a boundary marker. It is still partially visible as low earthworks on the most recent Google Earth imagery and was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
