Summary
In Bincombe and Weymouth parishes 'Celtic' fields are clearly seen only north east of the south entrance of the Bincombe Tunnel on the south shoulder of the chalk ridge about 400 feet. above Ordnance Datum. Two complete fields are 88 yards. by 40 yards. Lynchets are generally about 3 feet high, occasionally 5 feet Very faint remains over about 20 acres continue north, over the crest.
