Two bowl barrows aligned north west by south east, situated on Clouds Hill. The barrows each have a mound composed of earth, sand and turf, with maximum dimensions of 12 metres in diameter and about 0.75 metres in height. Each mound is surrounded by a quarry ditch which has become infilled over the years, but each will survive as a buried feature 1.5 metres wide. <1>
A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery <2> on Clouds Hill, Turners Puddle. The barrow is formed of a sub-oval mound measuring 20 m by 10 m. It is scheduled together with a second barrow located approximately 22 m to the north west (see linked record). This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
