A possible bomb crater or fox hole is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1979 within the area of the First and Second World War Bovington Tank Training Site, on Wool Heath. The pit or crater is sub-circular in shape and measures 3 m in diameter. (1) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
