A Second World War bombing range target is visible on aerial photographs of Rempstone Heath, Corfe Castle taken in 1946 (1). Numerous dispersed shell craters (MDO31409) are visible around the target up to a 700m radius are are likely to be associated with it. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
