Summary

Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow, part of a larger linear cemetery extending along the South Dorset Ridgeway. Field investigations record it as an extant mound. Also visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs.

Full Description

Ditched bowl barrow around 21 feet in diameter with a mound about 2 feet high. Steep-sided. {1-2}. Gorse-covered bowl barrow, diameter 6.5m., height 0.6m.{3}. Also visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs {4-5}, measuring approximately 6 metres in diameter. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
