Summary
A circular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields to the east of Oakwood Farm, Corfe Castle. It may be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit or the site of a Second World War bomb crater. It is one of four similar features located adjacent to one another (MDO31585-88).

Full Description
A circular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields to the east of Oakwood Farm, Corfe Castle (1). It may be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit or the site of a Second World War bomb crater. It is one of four similar features located adjacent to one another (MDO31585-88). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck mapping project.
