Summary

A linear boundary bank is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945-6 running along the parish boundary between Coombe Keyne and East Lulworth to the north of Shaggs Cottages. It appears to abut (and may be contemprary with) the earthworks associated with the park pale of Lulworth Park landscape park (MDO31693).

Full Description

A linear boundary bank is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945-6 running along the parish boundary between Coombe Keyne and East Lulworth to the north of Shaggs Cottages (1-2). It appears to abut (and may be contemprary with) the earthworks associated with the park pale of Lulworth Park landscape park (MDO31693). The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project, it is now under modern plantation and no longer visible on recent Google Earth images.
