Extensive earthworks associated with the deserted settlement of Povington are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Povington Farm (1-3). The site is part of East Holme Range and cut by modern military tracks. It is still partially visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery and was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
