Full Description

Extensive medieval field system comprising ridge and furrow cultivation and field boundaries (probably associated with the deserted settlement at Povington MDO31737) visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the west of Povington Farm(1-2). The site is part of East Holme Range and has been peppered with shell holes. It is still partially visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery and was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
