A group of five small hollows with external upcast are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945. They are likely to be military features dating to the Second World War; possibly bomb craters or gun pits (1-2). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project, they are no longer visible on recent Google Earth images.
