A large area of scrapped up soil topped with a small structure or platform is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946. It is considerd to be the site of a military firing point. (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project, they are partially visible on recent Google Earth images.
