Six possible extractive pits, which may be medieval or post medieval in date, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of 1946 to the west of Owermoigne. The pits are located on chalk. They are sub-circular and measure approximately 8 m in diameter. (1) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
