Full Description

The site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs in the field to the north-east of Newlands Cottages. The features comprises an outer ring-ditch 31m across enclosing an inner mound and possible central pit (1-2). A smaller internal ring ditch is visible on oblique aerial photographs taken in 2008 (3). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
