A wide linear hollow way is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (1) running from a 19th century chalk pit (MWX3975) north-eastwards. The feature may be trackway associated with the pit or of earlier or even natural origin. The feature has been plough-levelled and is visible as a cropmark on recent Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
