Full Description

A possible Second World War radar mast, or transmitter site, associated with the Second World War airfield of RAF Warmwell (see MDO31842) is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of the 1940s immediately to the north of the airfield. The site consists of a central mast surrounded by an earthen bank. (1) Military buildings located to the east of the site (see MDO31845) may be associated with it. The site is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 2005. (2) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
