Full Description

The probable site of a post medieval chalk pit is visible as earthworks s on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the east of Wynards Farm, Winfrith Newburgh.(1). It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The feature has been plough-levelled and visible as a cropmarks on 2005 Dorset vertical photography (2).
