A curvilinear enclosure with associated building structure, is visible as an extant fenced or barbed-wire structure on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the east of West Down Farm (1). It is considered likely to be of Second World War military origin. The features were digitially plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project they are no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery.
