A small circular hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945. It is considered to be the result of post medieval chalk quarrying (1). The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The features are no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
