Full Description
A post medieval drainage system or water meadow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north east of Owermoigne and north of Galton. The earthworks consist of narrow, linear, ditches oriented south west-north east, with drains leading off them to either side. The earthworks are visible over an area measuring approximately 580 m by 530 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
