Full Description

Possible medieval or post medieval cultivation ridges, or field boundaries, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Galton and north east of Owermoigne. The earthworks consist of parallel linear banks, some with associated ditches, oriented east-west. They are visible over an area measuring approximately 400 m by 300 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
