Post medieval ridge and furrow or evidence of land improvement is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of Moreton Road, south of Crossways. The ridges or drains are oriented north-south and they are visible over an area measuring approximately 280 m by 250 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
