Two possible medieval or post medieval pillow mounds are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 to the east of Galton, Owermoigne. The mounds are sub-rectangular in shape and flanked by ditches. They measure up to 50 m in length. (1) The mounds are visible as faint cropmarks on recent aerial photography. (2) This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
