A post medieval or modern chalk pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Ringstead, Owermoigne. The pit measures approximately 28 m by 12 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
