Full Description
A group of post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s at Holworth, Owermoigne. The pits measure between 12 m in diameter and 73 m by 34 m and are visible over an area measuring approximately 270 m by 256 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
