Full Description
Field boundaries or trackways which may be of medieval or post medieval date, but may be associated with a prehistoric field system in this area, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1960s at Brimstone Bottom. The earthworks consist of a narrow linear bank and a narrow scarp, measuring up to 255 m in length. (1-2) The boundaries or trackways are only partly visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (3) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
