An area of possible post medieval extractive pits, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south west of Owermoigne. The pits are sub-circular and measure up to 7 m in diameter. They are visible over an area measuring approximately 270 m by 205 m. (1) The features are not visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (2) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
