A post medieval banked enclosure is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1960s to the north of South Down Farm, south west of Holworth. The enclosure is shown on the 1st edition OS map around a, now demolished, building marked as Higher Barn. The enclosure is approximately 35 m square and has an entrance on its eastern side. (1-2) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
