Full Description
A probable post medieval chalk pits is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Moigns Down. The quarry pit is sub oval and measures approximately 36 m by 30 m. (1) The quarry pit is not visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 2009 and has presumably been levelled by this time. (2) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
