The remains of a medieval shrunken village are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs at Bincombe. The features include house platforms and enclosures. They lie on the crest of the ridge within a wider medieval field system (MDO244) and were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. {1-2}
