Full Description

Six round barrows situated south of the Bridport road, about 2 1/2 miles from Dorchester; 'B' - (120) - SY 64729032. Bowl barrow with surrounding ditch 15 paces diameter and 2 ft high according to Grinsell. Ploughed almost flat. <1> <3> 'B'. Ploughed out. Barrow 'B' was salvage excavated in 1982-3 after ploughing. The base of a probable Bronze Age urn, and some cremated bone was recovered. <4>
